To create a save the date that would fit the theme and color palette of the upcoming gala.

The theme for this year’s gala was French Carnaval. My client showed my inspiration pictures that included chandliers, peacocks, and lots of jewel tones with gold accents. That is why I created the the peacock background with Adobe Firefly, an AI generator. I was heavily inspired by Art Nouveau when creating it, so small details and elegant movement were a must. I also added in the fushsia as a way to add some playfulness to the illustration. When it came to the inside, I wanted create a gold mirror frame that was detailed while remaining sophisticated. I kept the fonts simple with Mrs. Eaves for the serif font, as it is quite elegant. Miss LeGatees is a more playful script font that still has a polished finished, so it quickly became the obvious choice for these save the dates.
