To create a booklet that contains information about each team, while including senior ads.

The JDA Booster Club was looking to sell a simple booklet that would allow everyone to know who each player on the different sports teams were. To accomplish this, we chose a simple design that included the team picture with the team roster. The pages seemed a little too simple, so I added little graphics of each sport in the school’s colors for variety.

I was faced with a challenge, however, when it came to the ads section. Most companies submitted business cards or trifold brochures, which would not work with the format. So, I had to break the trifold design to make a stacked hierarchy page. For the business cards, I placed the logo at the top of the page, followed by the business name and information below.

By the time all pages were completed, we were two pages short of the saddle stitch page count. So, we made two gallery pages of the students playing sports, holding trophies, and fans yelling in the stands. This is my favorite part of the book, as it shows just how energetic and vibrant student life is there.
